What Documents Are Required to Apply for a Permanent Residence Permit?

For issuing a permanent residence permit to the spouse of a Georgian citizen, a minor child, or the parent of a minor Georgian citizen, the following documents are required:
• the foreigner’s original travel document (passport).
• original document of proving legal residence in Georgia.
• A document proving family ties with a Georgian citizen.
• A document proving the legal income of the foreigner and/or their Georgian citizen relative or a relative with a residence permit in Georgia.
• If the Georgian citizen is of retirement age or receiving social assistance, a document confirming the receipt of a state pension or social assistance is required.
• Additionally, funds deposited in the foreigner’s personal bank account may also be considered as income.
• A passport-sized photo (3x4 cm).
All documents must be submitted with a Georgian translation.
Some documents require certification with an apostille or legalization.
